Notepad++ Multi-Editing

This post is part 4 of 5 in the series Efficient work using Notepad++

Notepad++ Multi-EditingSome of my favorite time-saving features in Notepad++ are macros and column editing. But sometimes I need to insert, edit or delete just a few things in a file. With multi-editing enabled you simply hold CTRL while you click or select text. This allows you to insert, edit or delete text in multiple locations in your file at the same time.

This video will show you how to enable and use multi-editing. You can find step-by-step instructions with pictures below.

4. When you start typing you will see that you are typing in multiple locations at the same time.

I don’t use multi-editing as much as macros or column editing, but it is an extremely useful feature when you need it :)
