Ok, ok, ok, I may have gotten a little carried away :) But I am excited to announce that I will be presenting a precon at SQLSaturday Chicago 2018! The precon will be held on Friday, March 16th, and is called Level Up! From Basic Biml to Automated Data Warehouse Frameworks. I will also present a general session on Saturday, March 17th.
SQLSaturday Chicago 2018 Precon (March 16)
Level Up! From Basic Biml to Automated Data Warehouse Frameworks will give you a solid understanding of Biml and how you can use it to improve your own workday: From the basics of Biml to generating hundreds of SSIS packages using BimlScript, to creating metadata-driven frameworks for automating Data Warehouse development. Along the way, you will learn about best practices, coding techniques and how you can gradually adopt Biml in existing small or large projects.
Read the full abstract and register on biml-sqlsatchicago-2018.eventbrite.com. Hurry up! The early bird price of $150 ends on February 16th. After February 16th, the price goes up to $175.
(Pssst! Since you are an awesome person reading my blog, I actually do have a special offer for you! The first ten attendees who sign up for my precon can use the discount code SelectTopTen to get 10% off the price.)
SQLSaturday Chicago 2018 Session (March 17)
In addition to the precon, I will also present a regular session at SQLSaturday Chicago 2018. Which session? I’m not sure yet! :) As I’m writing this, the schedule has not been published, but I will update this blog post as soon as I know. Check back next week for more information.
If you are planning to attend the main event, make sure to register on the SQLSaturday Chicago website, or you won’t get in! This is a very popular event with a long waitlist every year. But here’s the good news: If you are placed on the waitlist, you can e-mail a copy of your precon registration receipt to the organizers to skip the line. Details can be found on their website :)
Check out the full SQLSaturday Chicago schedule (once it is published!) and register today to get all the news and updates. You can also follow @SQLSatChi on Twitter and use the hashtag #SQLSatChi to join the conversation.
Hope to see you in Chicago in March! :)
